In this accelerated workshop
you will learn to play African-inspired rhythms. Together we will
create a harmonious voice playing on djembe, ashiko, dunun, Xylimba, kalimba,
bells, and more -- or bring your own. Dancing is encouraged.

Beginning Hand Drumming

Learn the art of African-inspired,
California-grown jamming in the style of Robert Bornn and his ensemble,
DIAJ
(Drummers in a Jam). Robert also recently released his original
single, Djembe Djam
(free, 2-minute, 1.5 MB, mp3 download), inspired by West African and Congolese
rhythms.
